What to do if Welch Allyn Scales reading does not change when weight is applied?
- PPhilip SimmonsJul 30, 2025
If the Welch Allyn Scales' reading doesn't change when weight is applied, first ensure the weight platform is securely plugged into the readout. If it is, the platform cable, connector, or load cell transducer might be defective. You can check the load cell transducer's resistance with an ohmmeter after unplugging it from the measurement board. Here are the expected resistance values: * WHT(4)/RED(5): 350 ± 3 Ohms * GRN(1)/BLK(2): 386 ± 50 Ohms * Pin to Ground: >5000 MOhms Full Scale Output should be 3.0mV/V ±0.1%. If your readings differ, consult Welch Allyn.
