The CMP203 is a new generation of compact media platform designed for cost-effective commercial TV and traditional DTV markets. It features a powerful embedded Gigabit switch, and supports various optional commercial/broadcast level encoder, multi-mode receiver, and modulator modules, allowing it to meet diverse video delivery requirements including signal receiving, descrambling, encoding, multiplexing, modulation, and IP processing. Its compact design, powerful functions, practical price, and low operational cost make it suitable for commercial video delivery applications in hotels, campuses, hospitals, MDUs, and other cable TV and IPTV systems requiring massive program processing, thereby saving space and expense.

Chassis Overview:

The front panel includes a cooling air intake, four RJ45 ports for remote network management, status and power indicators, a reset button, modulation status and power indicators, and a modulation output port. The back panel features six hot-swappable modules, a power supply, and a ground connection.

Baseboard:

The CMP203 baseboard supports 120 inputs and 120 outputs IP channels.

Receiver Modules:

CR2-DVBC-00: A 4-channel DVBC receiving and descrambling module with 1 RF female connector and 2 CI slots. It can receive 4 RF channels simultaneously and supports 2 CAM cards for descrambling. CAM Max Bit Rate can be selected from 48Mbps to 108Mbps.
CR2-DVBS2CI-00: A 4-channel DVB-S/S2 receiving and descrambling module with 2 RF connectors and 2 CI slots. Each RF connector supports 2 transponders. Channel 1.1 and 1.2 share power via LNB-1, while Channel 2.1 and 2.2 share power via LNB-2.

Function Modules:

CP2-EAS-00: Supports EAS triggering by analogue and digital EAS input. This module is designed for the US market and requires the CMP203 chassis to be set for ATSC standard. It provides the ability to interrupt Encoder playback and switch to an external transport stream for Emergency Alert Systems (EAS) or Audio Muting. The trigger switched video content on the Encoders can be sensed using a DC contact closure or the SCTE-18 EAS standard over ASI/IP when the EAS is "Paved" or actively replacing the encoder outputs.

CP2-CAM-00: Scrambling & descrambling module with 2 CI slots. It supports almost all kinds of CAM card descrambling, with the number of descrambled services defined by the CAM card. It supports descrambling services multiplexed from different IP/RF channels or modules. The scrambling function is designed for specific users and currently supports Xcrypt CAMCAS scrambling.
CP2-EIT-00: EIT multiplex module. Supports up to 32 TS inputs and up to 16 TS outputs. It also supports EIT multiplexing enable control at module, TS, and program levels. Multiple EIT multiplexing modules can run simultaneously in a single chassis. Supports parsing of EIT table with DVB-S/S2/S2X/C/T/T2, ISDB-T, IP input. Supports QAM-A/OFDM/IP output EIT table.

Usage Features:

Web GUI: Accessible via browser (IE8+, Firefox, Google Chrome). Default IP address: 192.168.1.10, Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0, Gateway: 192.168.1.254. Default user name and password: admin.
IP Input/Output Configuration: Allows configuration of source IP address, port, protocol (UDP/RTP), TS packets per IP packet, VLAN enable, and TSIP port. Supports batch setting for multiple channels.
Service Configuration: Enables routing of input streams to desired output interfaces (IP or RF) in either Bypass or Multiplex mode.
- Bypass Mode: Routes a whole input transport stream to an IP or RF output, occupying the channel exclusively.
- Multiplex Mode: Allows routing of single services to create SPTS, multiple services to create MPTS, or services/streams from multiple channels to create MPTS.
System Settings: Includes network configuration, time setting (manual or automatic with NTP), system management (upgrade, import/export configuration, import/export license, reboot, factory reset, log export/clear), and password reset.
Module-Specific Settings: Each module has dedicated settings for its specific functions, such as frequency, symbol rate, constellation, modulation type, video/audio encoding parameters, and output settings.
LCN Setting: For modulator modules, NIT streams can be added for STB auto-search and identification of TS (frequencies) LCN information.
Scrambling: CM2-MOD-02 supports scrambling services with up to 6 different CAS systems.
Insertion (Encoder Modules): CE2-HDMI-R01, CE2-HDMI-05A, CE2-HDMI-06 support insertion of LOGO, QR Code, and OSD subtitles with adjustable parameters (position, size, color, scrolling speed).
