TESTING YOUR BLOOD GLUCOSE
Step 2- For Fingertip Testing:
Hold the lancing device against the side of your ngertip and
press the release button to create a puncture.
Step 3:
Gently bring the test strip and touch the drop of blood at a slight
angle. The test strip acts like a straw to pull the blood in. Keep the
test strip in the blood drop until the meter beeps to indicate the
test strip has enough blood to test.
TIP:
• Gently message your hand and nger toward the puncture site to form a
drop of blood. Do not “milk,” or squeeze around the puncture site.
• Lance the side of your ngertip to avoid soreness. To avoid calluses, choose a
dierent lancing site each time.
