(3) If the scale reading is not
within the above limits, loosen
the terminal post, holding the end
of the spring (Fig. 60 (4) and
slide the end of the spring in or
out as necessary.
(4) Tighten terminal post and re-
check tension.
e. G0vernor Adjustment
Sinco setting of the governor re-
quires special equipment, it should
be done only by an experienced ser-
vice man or by the Universal fac-
tory.
f. Replacement on Engine
(1) Replace the
same relative

(2) Replace the timing adjusting
screw, but do not tighten.

(1) Place one drop of light engine
oil on the breaker arm hinge pin.
See Fig. 60 (6).
(2) Place three drops of light en-
gine oil on the felt in the top of
the breaker cam. See Fig. 60 (5).
(3) Place three drops of light en-
gine oil on the governor ueight
pivots.
(4) Add three to five drops of light
oil to the oiler on the outside of
the distributor base.
2. TIMING PROCEDURE
a. The first step is to locate your
UNIVERSAL engine model in the folloYl-
ing list to determine the location

lifton up to disengage distributor
