Why is my Whirlpool Washer not draining/spinning and loads are still wet?

There are several reasons why your Whirlpool washer might not be draining or spinning properly, leaving loads wet: * Using the wrong detergent: Be sure to use only HE (High Efficiency) detergent. Regular detergents can create excessive suds that slow down or stop the washer's draining process. * Drain hose issues: Check the drain hose to ensure it's properly installed and not extending too far into the standpipe (no more than 4 1/2"). Also, make sure the drain hose isn't clogged. * Overfilled Washer: A tightly packed or unbalanced load can prevent the washer from spinning correctly. * Door not opened between cycles: After 3 wash cycles in a row are completed, the door must be opened and then closed before a new cycle can begin.
