      Brenda SmithJul 30, 2025
If your Whynter Ice Cream Maker isn't freezing, ensure it's placed in a well-ventilated area where the temperature is above 60°F (16°C) and below 90°F (32°C). Also, use a refrigerated mixture and make sure that the pre-mixture does not exceed the -H- line to avoid overflow and does not go over top dasher of the churn blade.

If your ice cream isn't firm enough, it could be due to several reasons: 1. The ingredients might have been warm or at room temperature before being placed in the bowl. Use refrigerated mixture that does not go over top dasher of the churn blade. 2. The ice cream maker lid may have been opened and closed too frequently during the freezing process. Refrain from opening the lid many times. 3. The freezing bowl may have a thick coating of ice on the walls. After washing, dry completely prior to placing back in ice cream maker.

Why is my ice cream too icy when using Whynter 2 Quart IC-2L Ice Cream Maker?
    • R
      Randy FernandezAug 11, 2025
If your ice cream is too icy, it could be due to: 1. Making low-fat ice cream. Use whole milk or buttermilk instead of nonfat milk. 2. Too much water in the mixture. Put the sugar on the fruit and let it melt in the fruit's juices instead of using syrup. 3. Sugar in the mixture is not dissolved. Make sure the sugar is well-dissolved.

Why is my Whynter 2 Quart IC-2L compressor not running after resuming operation?
    • A
      Angela RobertsonAug 16, 2025
The ice cream maker might be experiencing a three-minute compressor lockout, which is designed to extend the life of the compressor. After this short delay, the compressor should engage, and the ice cream maker will resume cooling. If this issue persists, then no answer.

    • V
      Victoria GarciaAug 25, 2025
If your ice cream maker stops churning prematurely, it might be because too many mix-in ingredients were added, causing the churn blade to jam. Wait until the ice cream mixture is thickened or frozen before adding ingredients.
