  There are several reasons why your Whynter Air Conditioner might not be turning on. First, check for a power outage or tripped breaker and restore power. It's also possible the voltage is too low, requiring you to move the unit to a different circuit. Inspect the power cord for damage, and if the L.C.D.I. power plug is tripped, press the reset button. Lastly, if 'P1' is displayed, drain the water reservoir.

  If your Whynter Air Conditioner turns on, but the compressor doesn't, ensure the room temperature is within 63°F to 90°F. Make sure the Cooling mode is selected. Allow the compressor 3 minutes to start after selecting Cooling mode. Also, lower the set temperature, ideally at least 5°F below the ambient temperature. If ‘P1’ is displayed, drain the water reservoir.

  If your Whynter Air Conditioner doesn't turn on, here's what you can check: * **Power failure/outage:** Restore the power supply. * **Tripped switch/fuse/breaker:** Flip the switch, change the fuse, or turn the breaker back on. Consider moving other appliances to a different circuit if too many are drawing power from one circuit. * **Low voltage:** Move the unit to a circuit with the correct voltage. * **Damaged power cord:** Call for service; only authorized personnel should replace it. * **Tripped L.C.D.I. power plug:** Press the Reset button on the plug. * **Full internal water reservoir:** Drain the water from the air conditioner; 'P1' will appear on the display. * **Loose internal connection:** Contact Whynter for service.

  If your Whynter Air Conditioner turns on but isn't cooling, consider these possibilities: 1. **Room Temperature:** Ensure the room temperature is within the unit's operational range (63°F to 90°F). 2. **Cooling Mode:** Press the MODE button until the COOL light appears on the display. 3. **Compressor Delay:** Allow the compressor 3 minutes to turn on after selecting Cooling mode. 4. **Temperature Setting:** Lower the set temperature, ideally at least 5°F below the ambient temperature. 5. **Full Water Reservoir:** Drain the water manually or run the unit in fan-only mode to exhaust the water. Cooling will resume afterward. 6. **Loose internal connection:** Please contact Whynter for service.

  If the air from your Whynter Air Conditioner isn't cold or the airflow is weak, start by cleaning the air filters. Ensure there's at least 20" of clearance around the air intake and keep the exhaust hose as short as possible. Verify the unit is in Cooling mode, not DRY or FAN, and that the fan speed is set appropriately higher.
