  If your Whynter air conditioner turns on but isn't cooling, consider these possibilities: * The room temperature may be outside the unit's operational range (64°F to 95°F). * The Cooling mode might not be activated. Press the MODE button until the COOL light appears on the display. * The compressor might be experiencing a time delay. Allow 3 minutes for the compressor to activate after selecting Cooling mode. * The set temperature could be too high. Lower the set temperature. * The internal water reservoir might be full. Manually drain the water or run the unit in fan-only mode to exhaust the water. Cooling will then resume.

  There are several reasons why your Whynter Air Conditioner might not be turning on. First, check for a power outage and restore the power supply if needed. Then, check the breaker or fuse and flip the switch or replace the fuse if it has been tripped. It is possible that too many appliances are drawing power on one circuit, so try moving some appliances to another circuit. Also, the power supply voltage might be too low, so move the unit to a circuit with the correct voltage. Check the L.C.D.I. power plug and press the Reset button if it's tripped. Finally, the internal water reservoir might be full and needs to be drained. If the power cord is damaged, or you suspect a loose connection or blown internal fuse, contact the Whynter Service Department.

  If your Whynter Air Conditioner turns on but the compressor doesn't, preventing cooling, several factors could be at play. The room temperature might be outside the unit's operational range of 64°F to 95°F. Ensure the Cooling mode is activated by pressing the MODE button until the COOL light illuminates. Allow the compressor 3 minutes to start after selecting Cooling mode, as there's a time delay. Also, the set temperature might be too high; lower it to at least 5°F below the ambient temperature. Lastly, a full internal water reservoir can halt cooling; drain it manually or allow the unit to exhaust the water in fan-only mode.

Ensure that there are no obstructions blocking the air intake or exhaust; maintain at least 20" of clearance from the air intake and keep the exhaust hose as short as possible. Verify that the unit is set to cooling mode, not DRY or FAN mode. Also, make sure the fan speed is set to a higher level.
