Why my Whynter ARC-14S Air Conditioner turns on but is not cooling?
    • P
      Paul WigginsAug 17, 2025
If your Whynter Air Conditioner turns on, but the compressor doesn't, and the fan runs without cooling, it might be because the room temperature is outside the unit's operational range (64°F to 95°F), the Cooling mode isn't activated, the compressor is within its 3-minute time delay, the set temperature is too high, or the internal water reservoir is full. To fix this, ensure the room temperature is within the specified range. Press the MODE button until the COOL light appears. Allow 3 minutes for the compressor to start after selecting Cooling mode. Lower the set temperature, ideally at least 5°F below the ambient temperature. Drain the water manually or by running the unit in fan-only mode to allow it to exhaust the water, after that cooling should resume.

Why Whynter ARC-14S Air Conditioner is not cooling room enough?
    • O
      Olivia KennedyAug 20, 2025
If your Whynter Air Conditioner has been running for a while but the room isn't cold enough, it could be due to open windows or doors, too many people in the room, direct sunlight, a kitchen or heat-producing appliances, a server in the room, or the room being too large. To address this, close all windows and doors. You might need additional cooling or another air conditioner. Close curtains or blinds to minimize direct sunlight. Additional cooling or another unit may be necessary.

Why is my Whynter ARC-14S running but not cooling?
    • E
      Emily EvansAug 22, 2025
If your Whynter Air Conditioner turns on, but the compressor doesn't, and the fan is running but not cooling, it might be because the room temperature is outside the unit's operational range of 64°F to 95°F. Ensure the Cooling mode is activated by pressing the MODE button until the COOL light appears. Also, the compressor might be on a time delay, so allow it 3 minutes to start after selecting Cooling mode. Check that the set temperature isn't too high; it's best to set it at least 5°F lower than the room temperature. Lastly, if the internal water reservoir is full, manually drain it or allow the unit to exhaust the water by running it in fan-only mode.

How to improve cold airflow from my Whynter ARC-14S Air Conditioner?
    • A
      Andrew CookAug 26, 2025
If the air coming out of your Whynter Air Conditioner isn't very cold, or the airflow is weak, it could be due to dirty or obstructed filters, blocked air intake or exhaust, the unit being set in DRY or FAN mode, or the fan speed being set too low. To solve this, clean the air filters and ensure there's at least 20" of clearance from the air intake. Shorten the exhaust hose as much as possible. Switch the unit to cooling mode and increase the fan speed.

How to fix weak airflow from my Whynter Air Conditioner?
    • S
      Spencer LeeAug 28, 2025
If the air coming out of your Whynter Air Conditioner isn't very cold or the airflow is weak, start by cleaning the air filters, as they may be dirty or obstructed. Ensure that the air intake and exhaust are not blocked, maintaining at least 20" of clearance from the air intake and keeping the exhaust hose as short as possible. Verify that the unit is set to cooling mode, not DRY or FAN mode. Also, check the fan speed setting and increase it if it's set too low.

What to do if my Whynter ARC-14S Air Conditioner does not turn on?
    • S
      Steven BellAug 30, 2025
If your Whynter Air Conditioner doesn't turn on, it could be due to a power failure or outage, a tripped switch, fuse, or breaker, low power supply voltage, a damaged power cord, a tripped L.C.D.I. power plug, or a full internal water reservoir. To resolve this, restore the power supply, flip the switch, change the fuse, or turn the breaker back on. Consider moving other appliances to another circuit to avoid overloading one circuit. Use a circuit with the correct voltage. If the power cord is damaged, call for service (only authorized personnel should replace it). Press the Reset button on the L.C.D.I. power plug. Finally, drain water from the air conditioner.

Why is my Whynter Air Conditioner so noisy?
    • J
      Jacob TorresSep 2, 2025
If your Whynter Air Conditioner is very noisy, it might not be level or the surface underneath is uneven, or there might be low power voltage. Ensure the unit is on a hard, level, and stable surface. Move it to a location with a level and hard floor. Ensure the wall outlet supports the air conditioner's power consumption and avoid using an extension cord.

      Matthew HolmesSep 5, 2025
If your Whynter Air Conditioner leaks water, it could be because the unit is tilted or not leveled, or the water tank is full. To fix this, ensure the unit is leveled and drain water from the drain plug at the back of the air conditioner.

Why I can't change fan speed on my Whynter Air Conditioner?
    • I
      Ian RossSep 7, 2025
The fan speed difference is not very noticeable when the compressor is on. Try setting the Whynter Air Conditioner to Fan only mode, you should be able to hear the difference between high and low fan speed settings.

    • M
      Madison FaulknerSep 12, 2025
If your Whynter Air Conditioner is leaking water, it could be due to the unit being tilted or not leveled, so make sure the unit is leveled. Another reason could be that the water tank is full. If that's the case, drain water from the drain plug at the back of the air conditioner.
