  If your Whynter Air Conditioner doesn't turn on, there might be several reasons. First, check for a power outage and restore the power supply if necessary. Then, verify that the automatic switch, line fuse, or breaker hasn't tripped; if it has, flip the switch, change the fuse, or turn the breaker back on. Note that too many appliances on one circuit could cause this, so try moving some to another circuit. Ensure the power supply voltage is correct, and if the power cord is damaged, call for service. Also, check the L.C.D.I. power plug and press the Reset button if it's tripped. Finally, drain any excess water from the internal reservoir. For possible loose internal connections, contact Whynter for service.

  If your Whynter Air Conditioner turns on, but the compressor isn't running, and it's not cooling, here's what you can check: First, ensure the room temperature is within the unit's operational range of 63°F to 90°F. Make sure the Cooling mode is activated by pressing the MODE button until the COOL light appears on the display. Remember that the compressor may take up to 3 minutes to start after selecting Cooling mode. Also, verify that the set temperature isn't too high; it's best to set it at least 5°F lower than the ambient temperature. Lastly, check if the internal water reservoir is full and drain it manually or by running the fan-only mode. For possible loose internal connections, contact Whynter for service.
