If your Whynter Air Conditioner doesn't turn on, several factors could be at play. First, check for a power outage or tripped breaker and restore power. Ensure the unit is on a circuit with the correct voltage. If the L.C.D.I. power plug is tripped, press the Reset button. Also, if the internal water reservoir is full, drain the water. In case the power cord is damaged, call for service. Only authorized personnel should replace a damaged power cord or power plug.

Why Whynter Air Conditioner turns on but is not cooling?

      Stephanie IngramAug 2, 2025
If your Whynter Air Conditioner is running but not cooling, it could be due to several reasons. Ensure the room temperature is within the unit's operational range of 64°F to 90°F. Select the Cooling mode on the display. Allow the compressor 3 minutes to start after selecting Cooling mode. Lower the set temperature, ideally at least 5°F below the ambient temperature. If the internal water reservoir is full and a warning light appears, drain the water manually or run the fan-only mode to exhaust the water.

      Kathy MeyerAug 8, 2025
If your Whynter Air Conditioner isn't cooling the room effectively, start by closing all windows and doors. Reduce the number of people in the room, or consider using additional cooling. Minimize direct sunlight by closing curtains or blinds. If the room is a kitchen or contains heat-producing appliances or a server, you might need additional cooling. Also, if the room is too large for the unit's capacity, consider an additional air conditioner.
