WARNING!
Physical injuries and damage to property and the environment
caused by hazardous media
Upon contact with hazardous media (e.g. oxygen, acetylene, flammable
or toxic substances) or harmful media (e.g. corrosive, toxic, carcinogenic,
radioactive), there is a danger of physical injuries and damage to proper-
ty and the environment.
Should a failure occur, hazardous media under high pressure or vacuum
may be present at the instrument.
▶
For these media, in addition to all standard regulations, the appropri-
ate existing codes or regulations must also be followed.
WARNING!
Danger to life from explosion
During dismounting there is a risk of dangerously hot media escaping.
▶
Let the instrument cool down sufficiently before dismounting it.
CAUTION!
Damage to property due to electrostatic discharge (ESD)
When working on open circuits (PCBs) there is a danger of damaging
sensitive electronic components through electrostatic discharge.
▶
The correct use of grounded working surfaces and personal
armbands is required.
▶
Do not touch PCBs and electrical components.
▶
Before removing the plastic cover, touch any part of the grounded
metal case or an adjacent grounded metal object (e.g. radiator,
pipelines) (static charges are dissipated from the body).
▶
Avoid contact between the electronics and clothing.
On the wetted parts of the instrument, small residual amounts of the test
medium (e.g. compressed air, water, oil) can adhere from production.
With increased requirements for technical cleanliness, suitability for the
application must be checked by the operator before commissioning.
Only use original parts, see chapter 10 “Accessories”.
Check the instrument for any damage that may have been caused.
In the event of any damage, do not commission the instrument and contact the
manufacturer immediately.
