from your computer. This is useful if you need to switch to a
new Android device or you want to share a whole session with
a friend.
Using a USB cable on a Window PC
1. Close the EMT app and connect the Android device to your
computer using the USB cable charging cable. It will appear in
your Windows file manager window as a standard device.
2. Navigate to and open the EchoMeter folder and open the
Import folder. If the folder is missing you must create a new
folder and name it Import.
3. Copy all session folders and/or independent recordings that
you wish to import into your EMT device into the Import
folder. Note that the files must not be inside a .zip file. If they
were exported them from another EMT device, you must first
unzip them.
4. On the Android device, launch the Echo Meter Touch app.
This will automatically import all of the session folders and
recordings into the app on your device and they can then be
found in the recordings list.
Using a USB cable on a Mac
1. Download and install the free third-part program called
Android File Transfer.
2. Close the EMT app and connect the Android device to your
mac computer using the USB cable charging cable. The
Android File Transfer program will automatically open
whenever you connect an Android device to your Mac.
