What to do if I forget my Winegard WF-4000 password?
    • A
      Andrew LoganAug 19, 2025
If you've changed your default password and can't remember it, reset the Winegard ConnecT unit using the RESET button on the bottom of the indoor unit. Pressing this button will return the system to its factory settings, and the default password will unlock your system.

Why doesn’t my Winegard Extender system have a “Scan for WiFi” button?
    • J
      John GordonAug 21, 2025
If your Winegard ConnecT system lacks a “Scan for WiFi” button, it's likely that the outdoor antenna hasn't fully powered up or the Ethernet cable is incorrectly plugged in. Allow four to five minutes for the system to fully boot before logging in. Alternatively, ensure the Ethernet cable is plugged into the port labeled “POE”.

    • B
      Bradley HayesAug 23, 2025
If you changed your Winegard ConnecT SSID and got disconnected, it's because the old SSID is no longer valid. Simply open your device’s WiFi settings, search for the new name you chose for your network, select it, and enter the password.

I changed my Winegard WF-4000 Extender password and nothing happened, what to do?
    • M
      Mary HillAug 26, 2025
If changing your password on the Winegard ConnecT extender seems to have no effect, it's probably because the password you entered wasn't long enough. Ensure that you use a password with at least eight characters.

What to do if 10.11.12.1 does not bring up the login screen for Winegard WF-4000?
    • A
      Alan KimSep 1, 2025
If the login screen doesn't appear when you enter 10.11.12.1, it could be due to an incorrect WiFi signal or a changed address. To fix this, press the reset button on the bottom of your indoor unit. This action will restore the Winegard ConnecT unit to its factory settings.

The system says that it is connected, why won’t web pages load on Winegard Extender?
    • N
      nrussoSep 4, 2025
If your Winegard ConnecT system indicates a connection but web pages won't load, it's possible that the WiFi source requires additional steps beyond just connecting with a password. These pages might load in your device's default browser instead of the one you're currently using. Sometimes, simply browsing to a webpage will bring up the required splash page.

Why does the Winegard WF-4000 system keep making me log in every time I try to change screens?
    • E
      Eric JohnsonSep 6, 2025
If the Winegard ConnecT system repeatedly prompts you to log in when changing screens, it's likely that you have a second window open on the Winegard ConnecT status screen. Closing this extra window should resolve the issue.

My default SSID does not appear on my device when I search for it, using Winegard WF-4000, what to do?
    • C
      christophersanchezSep 8, 2025
If your Winegard ConnecT's default SSID doesn't show up when you search for it on your device, it's likely because the unit has just powered on or reset. It can take four to five minutes after regaining power for the SSID to start broadcasting again.
