SECTION 3
IN CASE OF DRIVING EMERGENCY
When no trace of escaping steam is heard or
seen, open the hood to check for the cause of the
overheat. Check hose connections and tighten if
necessary. Make sure there are no broken belts,
pulleys or hoses before adding any coolant to the
radiator.
If you see or hear steam escaping from the
radiator or the engine compartment or have any
other reason to suspect an extreme engine over-
heating condition, pull the vehicle over to the
roadside as soon as it is safe to do so, stop the
engine and get out of the vehicle.
For further information in case of overheating,
consult your chassis operating guide.
