•
When deep frying, fill the cookware no more
than half way with suitable fat.
When deep frying, make sure you do not
close the lid on the cookware. The hot fat
could foam over and cause severe burns.
Never extinguish burning fat with water.
Usea lid to extinguish the flames or cover
with a wet tablecloth in an emergency.
2| PROPER USE
2.1| STEPS BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
•
Remove all stickers before using for the first time.
•
Fill the cookware ⅔ with water, add 2 – 3 table-
spoons of vinegar and then boil the vinegar
water for 5 – 10 minutes.
•
Once cool, rinse all of the parts thoroughly by
hand and carefully dry the cookware and the lid.
2.2| COOKING WITH FUSIONTEC COOKWARE
•
Never heat empty cookware for extended pe-
riods of time, and ensure that the liquid of
cooked food does not completely evaporate.
Failure to do so can result in the food being
burned and can damage the cookware or heat
source.
•
Avoid immersing hot glass lids in water or plac-
ing them on cold surfaces.
•
Do not knock spoons or other kitchen uten-
sils against the pouring rim. This could damage
the rim.
•
Avoid sliding the cookware back and forth
across glass ceramic cooking zones. Lift the
cookware instead.
•
Always keep the cooking area clean, as residue
between the base of the cookware and the glass
ceramic hob can scratch the cooking area.
2.3| OTHER NOTES AND TIPS FOR USE
•
Only use the maximum heating level for boiling
or browning. Then turn the heat back down to
amedium or low setting.
•
Use a low heat particularly when cooking with
very little water.
•
If the lid is well positioned, it may stick due to
the vacuum that is created when cooling down.
In this case you must reheat the cookware until
the lid becomes free again.
•
Pots and lids without synthetic parts are also
suitable for use in the oven (see following
table).
