Improper handling of the cali-
per may result in damage.
− Do not use any aggressive
cleaners, brushes with
metal or nylon bristles,
sharp or metallic cleaning
utensils such as knives,
hard scrapers and the like.
They could damage the
surfaces.
− Protect the measuring
scale from watery liquids.
− Never immerse the caliper
in water.
− Wipe the measuring scale of the
caliper off with a dry and clean
cloth (or one that has been wet-
ted with cleaning oil).
