4. Using an n wrench, loosen the deck lift
bracket nuts (A). Using the ½ ratchet &
extension, raise or lower the deck lift arm
accordingly.
5. Tighten to 45 ft. lbs. After all adjustments are
made, verify measurements
Height of Cut
1. Before adjusting the height-of-cut be sure
the machine engine is o, and rear tires have
proper air pressure, the parking brake is
applied, and the machine is on a at surface.
2. The cut height is set by allowing the foot lever
to rest on a hitch pin inserted into the height
selection plate.
3. Raise the deck to the transport position by
pressing the upper deck lift pedal all the way
forward until the latch system engages the
pedal and locks the deck into position.
4. With the load removed from the hitch pin, it can
be changed to the desired cut height.
5. Lower the deck by pressing in on the lower
deck lift foot pedal until the latch releases the
pedal.
6. Now the deck can be lowered until it comes in
contact with the pin.
Anti-Scalp Wheel Adjustments
The anti-scalp wheels on the cutter deck can be
adjusted up or down in 1/2” increments using the
extra holes in the brackets.
Cut Setting Recommendations
Correct cut height is critical to healthy turf. Cutting o
more than 1/3rd of the blade stresses the turf.
In general, the turf will be healthy when cut longer.
When cut taller, the turf develops deeper roots, is
more drought resistant, more disease resistant, and
suppresses weeds.
Cut quality is improved when cut heights are
maintained according to the best practice for the
dominant grass species in the lawn.
Clean under the deck regularly. Grass build up will
cause the airow to be interrupted and result in poor
cut quality. Blades that are worn and have rounded
tips will not cut well.
Troubleshooting Cut Quality

Brown areas when deck
is close to/hitting the
ground
