Parking Brake Adjust
There are two adjustments which can be made on
the parking brake for the ZXT.
1. Coarse adjustment can be made by installing
the brake cable into the alternate hole indicated
below. This will increase the holding strength of
the brake.
2. Fine adjustments can be made by moving
the clevis end inwards or outwards along the
threaded section of the brake cable
a. Remove the bolt securing the cable to the
brake pedal.
b. Loosen indicated jam nuts on clevis end
c. Move clevis end outwards to lengthen the
cable and loosen brake.
d. Move clevis end inwards to shorten the cable
and tighten brake.
e. Tighten jam nuts to secure clevis end.
Re-install brake into the desired coarse adjustment
hole on the brake pedal.
Loading/Unloading
Use extreme caution when loading and unloading
units on/o trailers or trucks.
One full width ramp that extends beyond the rear
tires is recommended rather than individual ramps for
each side of the unit.
The ramp should be long enough so that the angle
between the ramp and the trailer or truck does not
exceed 15 degrees. A steeper angle may cause the
mower deck components to get caught as the unit
moves from ramp to trailer or truck.
Always put the deck in the transport (up & locked)
position when loading or unloading.
Never attempt to turn the mower around on the ramp.
Avoid sudden acceleration when driving up a ramp
and sudden deceleration when backing down a ramp.
Transportation
Use a heavy duty trailer or truck to transport the unit
Lock brake and block wheels.
Turn fuel valve to the “O” position.
Securely fasten the unit to the trailer or truck with
straps, chains, cable or ropes using the tie down
points provided.
Cleaning the Underside of the Mower
The underside of the mower deck should be checked
and cleaned twice daily and more often if the grass
being mowed is lush or wet.
The entire mower should be cleaned daily at the end
of the work day.
Cleaning should be done with a leaf blower or low-
pressure compressed air.
Wash with water only when necessary and do
not use a pressure washer or nozzle as the
water can enter electrical connections causing
electrical issues, rust and corrosion.
When washing with water, avoid spraying near the
hydro cap and do so when the unit has cooled down.
Washing a hot machine can cause various unseen
system damage.
If water is used for cleaning, immediately dry it with a
leaf blower or low-pressure compressed air and run
with blades engaged for approximately 10 minutes.
Once the wash is complete, always lubricate and
grease all applicable areas.
