What to do if my Xerox DocuMate 152i Scanner won’t scan?
    • M
      Matthew GriffinAug 18, 2025
First, inspect the cable connections to ensure they are secure. Then, check if the scanner’s status light is on; if not, turn on the scanner’s power and try plugging it directly into a wall outlet. If issues persist, restart both your computer and the scanner. Also, if you’re using a USB hub, connect the scanner’s USB cable directly to the back of the computer. The recommended USB cable length is 6’ or less. Finally, ensure that Xerox[®] DocuMate[®] 152i is selected as the scanner in your scanning software.

Why does the paper jam in the ADF of my Xerox DocuMate 152i Scanner?
    • D
      Daniel ContrerasAug 23, 2025
Paper fed into the ADF at an angle can cause the feed mechanism to jam. Smooth and straighten the paper before scanning, and adjust the guides to the paper size. Also, excessive dust on the roller can cause issues feeding paper. Try cleaning the roller with a soft cloth dampened with Isopropyl rubbing alcohol.

    • M
      Mark GoodmanAug 26, 2025
A dirty or worn ADF pad assembly or dirt on the roller can cause documents to feed in skewed at an angle, or multiple pages to feed at the same time. Try cleaning the roller first. If that doesn’t solve the problem, the pad assembly may need to be replaced.
