INSTALLATION
This pump should not be installed within an outer enclosure or beneath the skirt of a hot tub or
spa, unless there are specific markings indicating its suitability for such installation.
It is essential to mechanically secure the pump to the equipment pad during installation. Proper
mechanical securing ensures stability and safe operation of the pump during its use.
NOTE
For optimal pump performance, install the system below the pool water line. Ensure the pump is
placed on a firm, level base or pad that complies with all local and national codes. The base or
pad must be level.
Although the pump is designed for outdoor use, it is strongly recommended to protect the electri-
cal components from weather exposure. Choose a well-drained area that will not flood during rain.
Pump motors need free air circulation for cooling, so avoid installing the pump in damp or
non-ventilated locations.
PUMP LOCATION
Base Requirements:
Install the pump on a firm, level, and solid base or pad that meets all local and national codes.
The base must be rigid and vibration-free.
Secure the pump to the base or pad with screws or bolts to minimize vibration and reduce
stress on pipe or hose joints.
Pump Mount Considerations:
Position the pump inlet as close to the water level as possible.
Use a short, direct suction pipe to minimize friction losses.
Ensure space for gate valves in the suction and discharge piping.
Protect the pump from excess moisture and flooding.
Allow adequate access for servicing the pump and piping, with a minimum clearance of 18”
around the pad.
Piping Recommendations:
Use a minimum length of piping equivalent to 10 pipe diameters between the pump suction
inlet and any plumbing fittings.
Install union connections at the suction and outlet ports to facilitate servicing and allow for
indoor storage during winter months.
