IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
4
Power Supply: Turn off the power supply before working on any electrical equipment.
Wiring Maintenance: Replace damaged wiring immediately.
Electrical Supply: Ensure the electrical supply matches the motor’s voltage, phase, and cycle, and
that the wire size is adequate for the motor's power rating and distance from the power source. If
voltage is less than 90% or more than 110% of the rated voltage when the motor is running at full
load, consult the power company.
Proper Use: Only trained individuals should operate the product. Unauthorized modifications can
impair function and safety.
Tool Appropriateness: Use the right tool for the job and avoid forcing small equipment to do the work
of larger equipment.
Child Safety: Keep children and bystanders away from the work area.
Pool and Spa Usage: Use the pump only for permanently installed pools, hot tubs, and spas.
CAUTION
NOTE
GFCI Testing: The installer should provide the GFCI, and it should be tested routinely. To test the
GFCI, press the test button. The GFCI should interrupt power. Press the reset button to restore
power.
Installation Location: Protect electrical components from the weather and ensure proper air
circulation. Do not install in damp or non-ventilated areas.
Component Inspection: Inspect and replace any damaged, broken, cracked, or unsecured
components at least every five years.
NEC Compliance: Follow NEC codes for all wiring standards. Do not install the pump within an
outer enclosure or beneath a hot tub or spa skirt.
Bonding Guidance: For guidance on bonding all electrical equipment, see installation instructions
and consult a professional electrician.
Separation Hazard: Secure the strainer cover properly. Never operate the system if components
are damaged or missing.
Electric Shock Prevention: Replace damaged cords immediately and use only GFCI-protected
circuits.
