Before shifting, make sure there are no
swimmers or obstacles in the water
near you.

To change the boat direction or shifting
position from forward to reverse or
vice-versa, close the throttle first so that
the engine idles (or runs at low speeds).

When the engine is started, the propeller
turns and the boat begins to move for-
ward.

1) Place the throttle control grip in the
fully closed position.
2) Turn the gear shift lever quickly and
firmly from Neutral to Forward.
