Final gear oil replacement
1. Put the scooter on the
centerstand.
2. Place an oil pan under the final
gear case.
3. Remove the oil filler cap and the
drain bolt to drain the oil.
4. Install and tighten the drain bolt
to the specified torque.
Tightening torque:
Drain bolt :
18 Nm (1.8 m.kg)
5. Fill the gear case with the rec-
ommended oil.
Recommended final gear oil:
SAE 85W140 type SE motor oil
Final gear oil quantity:
0.13 L

Do not let foreign material enter the
final gear case. Be sure oil does not
get on the tire or wheel.
6. Install the oil filler cap.
7. After replacing the final gear oil,
be sure to check for oil leakage.

Air filter cleaning
This air filter should be cleaned at
the specified intervals.
It should be cleaned more frequently
if you are riding in unusually wet or
dusty areas.
1. Remove panel B. (Refer to page
6-7 for removal and installation
procedures.)
2. Remove the carburetor joint
clamp.
