This is to ensure that the protection circuit hasn't been activated due to a short circuit. If that's not the issue, ensure that the sleep timer hasn't activated. If it has, turn the power back on and play the source again. Finally, check if the sound is muted. If so, press MUTE or any operation buttons to cancel the mute and adjust the volume.
