  If the keyboard performance and playback of Style/Song/Groove Creator on your Yamaha musical instrument produces an unexpected or inappropriate sound that cannot be restored to normal, it may be due to an unintended setting made by operating the LIVE CONTROL knob. To undo this, reset the panel settings by turning off DSP2, changing the Voice, Style, Song, or Groove Creator, or pressing the [PORTABLE GRAND] button.

  If no sound is produced when playing the keyboard or playing back a Song, Style, or Groove on your Yamaha musical instrument, check if headphones are connected to the [PHONES] jack. Unplug the headphones or set Function 079 “Speakers” to “2 (SP On).” Also, ensure Function 079 “Speakers” is not set to “3 (SP Off)”—set it to “1 (HPSwitch)” or “2 (SP On).” Finally, confirm that Function 062 “Local Control” is set to ON.

  If not all Voices sound when playing the keyboard on your Yamaha musical instrument, or the sound seems to be cut off when playing Arpeggio, Style, Song, Groove Creator or the QUICK SAMPLING pads, you might have exceeded the instrument's maximum polyphony of 64 simultaneous notes. If the Main, Dual, and Split Voices are being used along with playback of Arpeggio, Style, Groove or Song, some notes/sounds may be omitted.
