• Using a socket wrench (2), act on the belt tensioner (3) and remove the auxiliary belt (1).
• Fit the new belt (1) on the guide rollers and onto the belt tensioner (3) using the wrench (2).
• Check the correct operation of the belt tensioner (3).
• Reposition the belt cover in its seat and tighten the fasteners.
Risk of damage
Replace the auxiliary belt if there is any sign of
abrasion, cracks or tears, oil or fuel stains.
Failure to comply completely or partially with
these requirements may result in the risk of
serious damage to the engine and may even, on
occasion, invalidate the warranty.
Risk of injury
When the engine is off, but still hot, the belt
may start to move without warning. Wait for the
engine temperature to decrease to prevent
serious danger of an accident.
Failure to comply with these prescriptions can
result in the risk of serious injury.
