Function Description
The Zanussi ZCG560N is a freestanding cooker designed for household use, featuring both a hob and an oven. The hob is a gas cooking surface with four burners of varying sizes: one auxiliary burner, two semi-rapid burners, and one rapid burner. Each burner has a corresponding knob for control and a spark generator button for ignition. The oven offers multiple cooking functions, including conventional cooking (top and bottom elements), bottom heating, top heating, and full grill. It is equipped with an oven lamp and a temperature indicator. A storage compartment is located below the oven.

Cookware Diameters for Hob:

Oven Functions and Temperature:
- Conventional cooking: Heats from top and bottom elements, suitable for baking, roasting, and pizza.
- Bottom heating element: Heats only from the bottom, ideal for crispy bases.
- Top heating element: Heats only from the top, for finishing dishes.
- Full grill: Uses the full grill element for grilling flat food items and making toasts, with a maximum temperature of 210 °C.
The oven has a safety thermostat to prevent overheating.

Usage Features
Hob Operation:
- To light a burner: Push and hold the spark generator button, then turn the corresponding knob counter-clockwise to the maximum position and push it down. Hold for approximately 5 seconds for the thermocouple to warm up.
- To turn off a burner: Turn the knob to the symbol.
- Energy saving tips: Use lids on pans, reduce flame to simmer once liquid boils, use cookware with appropriate burner dimensions, and avoid cookware overlapping edges.
Oven Operation:
- To activate: Turn the oven functions control knob to a desired function and the temperature control knob to a temperature. The temperature indicator lights up during heating.
- To deactivate: Turn both control knobs to the Off position.
- Preheating: Run an empty oven at maximum temperature for 45 minutes (conventional cooking) or 15 minutes (top heating) to burn off residues before first use.
- Baking cakes: Recommended temperature between 150 °C and 200 °C, preheat for 10 minutes, avoid opening the door before 3/4 of cooking time.
- Cooking meat and fish: Use a dripping pan for fatty foods to prevent stains. Allow meat to rest for 15 minutes before carving. Add water to the dripping pan to prevent smoke.
Safety Features:
- Anti-tilt protection: Must be installed to prevent the appliance from tipping.
- Child safety: Keep children and pets away from the appliance during operation and cooling.
- Hot surfaces: Accessible parts become hot; use oven gloves.
- Gas safety: Ensure proper ventilation, do not block ventilation openings, do not install a flame diffuser.
Maintenance Features
General Cleaning:
- Disconnect the appliance from the mains supply and ensure it is cold before cleaning.
- Clean the appliance regularly with a moist soft cloth and neutral detergents.
- Avoid abrasive products, steel wool pads, solvents, or metal objects.
- Do not clean catalytic enamel with detergents.
- Do not clean burners in the dishwasher.
- Clean enamelled parts, burner caps, and crowns with warm soapy water.
- Clean stainless steel parts with water and dry with a soft cloth.
- Pan supports are not dishwasher proof and must be washed by hand.
- Clean the oven interior after each use to prevent dirt from burning on.
- Clean oven accessories with a soft cloth, warm water, and cleaning agent.
Oven Door and Glass Panel Cleaning:
- The oven door can be removed for easier cleaning.
- To remove the door: Open fully, lift and turn hinges, close halfway, pull forward.
- Place the door on a soft cloth and remove 2 screws from the bottom edge to access glass panels.
- Clean glass panels with water and soap; avoid abrasive agents or sharp objects.
- Replace damaged glass panels immediately.
Oven Lamp Replacement:
- Deactivate the oven and disconnect from power supply (remove fuses or deactivate circuit breaker).
- Place a cloth at the bottom of the oven to protect the light and glass cover.
- Turn the lamp glass cover counter-clockwise to remove.
- Clean the glass cover.
- Replace the oven lamp with a 300 °C heat-resistant oven lamp of the same type.
- Install the glass cover.
Gas Burner Maintenance:
- Regularly check flexible gas pipes for cracks, cuts, burn marks, and elasticity. Replace if defective or expired.
- Ensure burner caps and crowns are correctly positioned and clear of food residues for proper flame.
Levelling:
- Use small feet on the bottom of the appliance to adjust its height and ensure the cooker top surface is level with other surfaces.
