Main Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) Replacement 980358-309A
Preparations
Protect against static discharge. Your work area must be static-safe and include
a properly grounded conductive cushioned mat to hold the printer and a
conductive wrist strap for yourself.
Check your work when con nect ing the print head ca bles—If con nected
wrong, per ma nent dam age can re sult to the printer.
Perform the removal steps of the Bot tom Case
Re place ment (980358-305) pro ce dure.
Removal
1. If present, snip the tie-wrap that holds the
loop of wire bundles and ribbon cables.
2. If present, use a small, slotted screwdriver
to remove the ferrite core.
3. On TLP models, use a #1 Phillips driver to
loosen and remove the screw that holds the
main PCBA.
On LP models, loosen the main PCBA 1
from its post ! and stand offs " on the
lower frame.
4. Note the locations of the cable connectors
then carefully unplug the ribbon cables and
wire bundles from their locations.
