− When changing the device fuses, only fuses specified in the technical data may be used.
− The use of other fuses and short-circuiting the fuse box are prohibited, to avoid the risk of
overheating, smoke formation or fire in the device.

− Dirt, dust and moisture may impair the device’s functional performance.

Risk of malfunction of the fluorescence filters
− When using fluorescence filters without heat protection filters in front of the microscope
lamp, the functionality of the fluorescence filter may be impaired due to its sensitivity to
heat.

Environmental damage due to improper disposal
− Do not dispose of defective equipment in regular domestic waste. It should be disposed of
in accordance with the prevailing national legal requirements. The manufacturer of the
device is under the legal obligation to take defective devices back.

Risk of hazardous samples
When working with hazardous samples, please note the following:

Mishandling of e.g. corrosive, highly flammable, infectious, toxic, radioactive or other
aggressive substances may cause injury and have harmful effects on health. The device has
no special features to protect against hazardous substances.
− The user or operator must comply with the prevailing international and national laws and
regulations.
