To back up your current configuration
Use the Backup page to save your modem’s current configuration
to a file on your computer.
1 Click on the Management link on the left pane of the
window. Then click on the Settings link. Then click on the
Backup link.
2 On the Backup page, click Backup Settings to download a
configuration file from the X3 or X4 to a folder on your
computer.
3 Be sure to note the name (backupsettings.conf) and location.
You will need this information if you ever want to restore the
X3 or X4 to this backed-up configuration. (You can change
the name of the file and specify a location for it on your
computer after it is downloaded.)
To restore a configuration

Click on the Management link on the left pane of the
window.
2 Then click on the Settings link.
3 Then click on the Update link.
4 On the Update Settings page, click Browse and navigate to
the file containing the configuration to which you want the X3
or X4 restored.
5 Click Upload.
Resetting Default Settings
If you have changed the system settings on your X3 or X4 and for
some reason want to restore them to the factory default settings,
you can do so in one of two ways: You can perform a software
reset or a hard reset.
