• Portable storage: Safely mount, unmount, eject, and format your
microSDXC card (see Connecting to networks and devices – Using the
microSDXC card as portable or internal storage).
Battery
View remaining battery power and check which items have been using
the battery. Tap an app or service to adjust its settings in order to save
battery life.
To manage battery settings to help prolong battery life, tap .
• Battery saver: Manage battery saving mode in order to improve battery life.
• Battery optimization: Prolong battery standby time when you’re not using
the phone. Tap > Not optimized to view apps that don’t have the
battery optimized.
To change apps from optimized to not optimized, tap > All apps. Tap an
app > Don’t optimize > DONE.
To reset app preferences to default, from the Battery optimization screen,
tap > Reset app preferences.
Apps
See apps installed on your phone and manage them.
Tap an app to see its information. You can stop the app, uninstall or disable
the app, clear data and cache, or move the app between the internal
storage and the memory card.
Note: Not all applications can be moved or uninstalled.
2. Slide the Location switch to the On position to turn on location access.
3. When location access is enabled, tap Mode to select location modes you
want to use.
• High accuracy: Get accurate location using both GPS and Wi-Fi as well
as mobile networks.
• Battery saving: Use only Wi-Fi and mobile networks to get your
approximate location. This will drain less power from your battery than
using GPS.
• Device only: Use GPS to pinpoint your location.
• Accelerated location: Slide the switch to turn on/off the Qualcomm
®
IZat™
hardware accelerated location feature.
• Google Location History: Rediscover the places you’ve been with your
mobile device in a timeline list that only you can see. To delete the history,
tap DELETE LOCATION HISTORY.
Storage
Check memory information for your external memory card and internal
storage. You can choose the default location for new data, such as
downloaded les and captured photos.
• Save location: Select Phone or SD card to select the default location
for new data, such as les downloaded, photos captured, and voice
recorded.
• Device storage: You can install apps into the device storage. When you
connect your phone to your computer, this space is not accessible from
your computer. The contents in the device storage will be erased when
you do a factory reset. Ensure that you back up your data before the
factory reset.
