Google Maps
Use Google Maps to find you way and get location information right from your phone.
Enabling Location Mode
Before using location-based services, you need to turn on your phone’s location mode. See “Location Settings” on
page 119.
1. Tap Home Key >
> Settings > Location & security.
2. Tick Use GPS satellites to enable GPS, or tick Use wireless networks to use open Wi-Fi and mobile
networks to determine location.
NOTE: Enabling GPS will drain your battery faster.
Launching Google Maps
Tap Home Key > > Maps. If GPS is enabled as the location mode, the GPS icon will appear on the
Status bar.
Finding Your Location
1. Launch the Google Maps application.
2. Tap
on top of the map area to start locating yourself.
Using Google Maps
After launching the Google Maps application, you can pinch on the screen to zoom in or out on the map view, or
tap Menu Key for other functions:
