circuits, implements the cross-connection and service
add/drop of the NE and modifies the time slot
configuration base and the relevant database.
f NE connection configuration: The ZXA10 S300 system
can provide at most 32 optical line/tributary interfaces. It
also provides the connection configuration to determine
the connection relationship between the optical interfaces
and the matching relationship of the optical interfaces
during networking protection.
f Automatic service configuration: To provide convenient
service configuration for the users, the NMS of the ZXA10
S300 system provides the users with the automatic
service configuration function. The users only need to
input the source NE, destination NE and the service
quantity and service class (E1, E3, DS3) between two
NEs. The automatic service configuration module in the
NMS software will calculate the optimum path of the
service according to the resource occupation of the whole
network. It can only add the service according to the
user’s requirement. To prevent software fault, it is
prescribed that the automatic configuration module
cannot modify and delete existing services. The
modification and deletion functions of the service are
enabled in the NMS software.
f HighLight function: It is similar to the HighLight function
in the PCB design. There is a large amount of services in
the ZXA10 S300 system, and the HighLight function is
used to clearly analyze the path status of a service in the
network.
Automatic protection module
According to the ITU-T Recommendation G.841 and G.842,
the automatic protection module provides various networking
and protection modes as well as the configuration of the
relevant protection data. The TAA board provides the
through protection function when some faults occur to the
ATM or the ATM is plugged/unplugged.
