convergence point. So it can be used in the access ring with
a lot of ONU points, and the ONU points have the broadband
data services. However, each OUN point has a small number
of subscribers and small traffic.
The ATM interface is provided at the ONU side, and it can
access and converge some DSLAM traffic flow (ATM uplink).
In addition, it can be used jointly with the S series devices of
the ZXB10, thus providing the access traffic based on the
ATM for some private network subscribers.
At the OLT side, the different services can be dispatched to
different service networks:
The voice service can be converged to the OLT through the
E1 interface and then connected to the local voice switch
through the V5 interface of the OLT.
The broadband dial-up service can be directly connected to
the port of the BAS equipment through the FE/GE/ATM
interface.
The DDN/FR leased line service can be connected to the OLT
through the E1 interface and then accessed to the DDN/FR
network.
The Ethernet private line service can be directly accessed to
the router or L2/L3 switch through the FE/GE interface.
The ATM private line service can be directly accessed to the
ATM network through the ATM STM-1/4 interface.

The full service MAN consists of the core layer, convergence
layer and access layer.
Core Layer of Full Service MAN
For the large-scale MAN, the core layer of the MAN uses the
separated transmission network and data network, and
processes the high-speed and large-capacity switching and
transmission of the TDM service and data service with the
different networks. In this way, it can meet the requirements of
the development of the two kinds of the services in a period, and
it will not be changed greatly due to the service development.
The core layer data network can be configured with the high-end
routers T128 and T64, and the transmission network can be
configured with the MP series high-end products of the MAN
transmission.
For the medium-scale/small-scale MAN, the core layer of the
MAN can be combined with the convergence layer. Namely,
