Analog Line Card (ALC)
1. Functions
The ALC has seven basic functions (BORSCHT):
B (Battery): Feed function
O: Over Voltage Protection in compliance with the standard K20 test
conducted by the Ministry of Information Industry of China.
R: Ringing.
S: Supervision of the DC operating status of the subscriber ports.
C: Codec, that is, the CODEC chip implements voice conversion
between analog and digital signals.
H: Hybrid 2/4-wire conversion.
T: Test function provides internal and external interfaces for the tests.
