VBASOverview
VBASisnotphysicalequipmentbutaprotocolstandard,whichisdevelopedby
GuangdongInstituteofChinaTelecom.VBASistosolvetheproblemofwide-band
useridentier.WhenBASgetsuseridentierbyinquiringcorrespondingrelationship
betweenMACofusersdialingtotheswitchandport,thensendsusername,password
andidentierinformationtoRADIUS,itcanjudgethepositionoftheuser.
Layer2communicationmodeisimplementedbetweenBASandswitches,thatis,
informationqueryandresponsedatapacketsofVBASareencapsulatedintoEthernet
dataframesoflayer-2directly,anduseprotocolnumber0x8200toidentify.
