2.4G Advanced Settings / 5G Advanced Settings
Hide WiFi
Network Name
Select this check box to hide the wireless band’s network name (SSID) in the outgoing beacon
frame so a station cannot obtain the SSID through scanning using a site survey tool or any
wireless clients.
Note: This setting only applies to the main 2.4G and 5G wireless networks. It does not
apply to the guest and extra wireless networks configured in the Network
Setting > Wireless > Guest WiFi screen.
Channel Select a specific channel the VMG uses for the wireless band. Select Auto to have the VMG
automatically determine a channel to use.
