Uninstalling and Installing the Nose Cup Assembly
To uninstall the nose cup assembly
1 Reach inside the facepiece and, using only your fingers, flex the exterior surface of the nose cup from the two
voicemitter ducts; the ducts will remain attached to the lens. See picture A in Figure 4-1.
2 Grip the nose cup assembly and pull to remove it from the facepiece. See picture B in Figure 4-1.

To install the nose cup assembly
1 Insert the new or cleaned and dry nose cup assembly into the facepiece
with the nose cup valves facing up. You must insert the nose cup behind
the faceseal (inside the facepiece).
2 Press the nose cup firmly onto the two nose cup retaining posts on either
side of the adapter port. See Figure 4-2.
3 Stretch each 1" diameter hole in the nose cup onto the end of the
voicemitter ducts until fully seated in the groove at the end of each duct.

NOTE
Maintenance is limited to uninstalling or installing the nose cup, head harness, head harness straps, and neck
strap.
