6 Thread each strap through the slot closest to the buckle attachment with the pull loop sewn side down. Thread
over the buckle roller and back through the slot between the buckle roller and the release lever. When assembled
properly, the pull loop will be above the strap. See picture A in Figure 4-6.
Installing the Neck Strap
To install the neck strap
1 Clip one end of the neck strap to one of the holes on the bottom of the facepiece (you can attach the clip from
any direction). See Figure 4-7.

2 Use the other end of the strap to clip to the hole on the opposite side of the facepiece.
3 Place the neck strap over the head with the opening of the facepiece toward your body so that the inside of the
hood is protected from debris. See picture A Figure 4-8.
4 Turn the facepiece right-side up with the opening in front of you face and with the neck strap still in place. The
neck straps will criss-cross. See picture B in Figure 4-8.
5 Don the facepiece (see “Chapter 3: Donning” on page 15), taking care that the criss-crossed neck strap does not
prevent a proper face seal. See picture C in Figure 4-8.
