Uninstalling and Installing the Head Harness & Straps

To uninstall and install the head harness
1 Locate one of the four buckles positioned around the facepiece holding the head harness straps. See picture A in
Figure 4-6.
2 Lift the buckle release lever and pull the head harness strap until the end of the strap is against the buckle and the
strap is fully extended. Repeat the process to the other buckle on the same side of the facepiece. See picture B
magnification in Figure 4-6.
3 Pass the ends of the straps through the buckles and pull the strap from the head harness until the harness is free.
4 Place the new head harness in front of you with the tag facing down.
5 Pass the straps through the corresponding top and bottom path on the new head harness.
6 Thread each strap through the slot closest to the buckle attachment with the pull loop sewn side down. Thread
over the buckle roller and back through the slot between the buckle roller and the release lever. When assembled
properly, the pull loop will be above the strap. See picture A in Figure 4-6.
To uninstall and install the head harness straps
1 Locate one of the four buckles positioned around the facepiece holding the head harness straps. See picture B
magnification in Figure 4-6.
2 Lift the buckle release lever and pull the head harness strap until the end of the strap is against the buckle and the
strap is fully extended. Repeat the process for the other three buckles.
3 Pass the ends of the straps through the buckles.
4 Pull the strap from the head harness until the harness is free.
5 Pass the new straps (with the pull loop sewn side down) through the corresponding top and bottom paths on the
head harness.
