Why are the measurement values not correct on my A&D SV-1A?

  Several factors can influence the accuracy of measurement values. Here are a few things to check: * Ensure the data hold mode is off by pressing the HOLD key. * Adjust the table height to align the sensor plates with the sample surface. * Level the viscometer to ensure a leveled liquid surface. * Clean any residual sample material from the sensor plates with alcohol. * Maintain the sample surface level during measurement. * Confirm that the serial numbers of the main and display units match. * Consider periodic calibration with a standard viscosity fluid. * If using a cup, calibrate with it before measuring viscosity. * Remember that sample viscosity is temperature-dependent.

  To stabilize measurement values, consider the following: * Avoid locations prone to vibration or use an anti-vibration table like the AD-1685. * Set the device to "Cond 2". * Shield the viscometer from drafts. * Position the viscometer away from electrical or magnetic noise sources. * Adjust the spacing between the sensor plate and the inner wall of the 2 mL cup. * Properly attach the protector and sensor protective cover, ensuring they don't touch the sensor or temperature sensor. * Remove the protector, surface locator plate, or sensor protective cover if necessary.
