Note:
When installing the signal/excitation cable at the
flowmeter primary a water trap should be provided
(Fig. 32).
9.2.4 Installations for Protection Class IP 68
The max. submergence depth for flowmeter priamries designed
for Protetion Class IP 68 is 5 m. A hose enclosed connector is
used in place of the standard PG connector. The signal/
excitation cable must be enclosed in the 1/2” hose from the
connection box to above the maximum submergence level
(Fig. 33). Above this level the cable is installed using the cable
connector included with the shipment in a water tight manner.
The hose is then attached to the hose connector using the
threaded clamp ring. Finally the connection box should be
carefully secured.
