Forward/Reverse Metering
The direction is indicated by arrow in the display and over an
optocoupler output (ext. signal).
Display
With Lighted Display, data entry using the 3 buttons directly
from the converter or with a Magnet Stick when the housing is
closed.
2x16-character LCD-Dot Matrix display. The flow is totalized
internally separately for each flow direction in one of 16 different
units. The flowrate can be displayed in percent or one of 45
different units. The converter housing can be rotated by 90°.
The display can be plugged into 3 different positions so that
optimal readability is assured. In multiplex operation the
flowrate in %, engineering units or bargraph, the totalizer value
forward or reverse, the TAG No. or the current output value can
additionally be selected for the 1st or 2nd lines of the display.

Signal Cable (only MAG-XE)
The maximum cable length between the flowmeter primary and
the converter is 50 m. Each flowmeter system is shipped with a
10 m long signal cable. If more than 10 m are required,
additional cable can be ordered using Part No. D173D018U02 .

The instrument conforms to the NAMUR-Recommenda-
tion NE21. Electromagnetic Compatibility of Industrial
Equipment in Processes and Laboratories 5/93 and
EMC Guideline 89/336/EWG (EN 50081-1, EN 50082-2).
Warning: The EMC-Protection is limited when the
housing is opened.
Data Security
All data are stored when the supply power is turned off
or interrupted in an EEPROM in the Converter. When a
converter module and its external EEPROM are exchanged,
all parameter settings are automatically uploaded when the
power is turned on.
