Service work every 18,000 hours
It is recommended to have this service work and inspections carried out
by an ABB Turbocharging Service Station.
Remove the filter silencer
Clean the filter silencer and inspect for damage
Remove the compressor casing internal part
Check axial clearance A
Clean the compressor wheel, diffuser, wall insert as well as the com-
pressor casing and inspect for damage
Without removing them, visually inspect the turbine parts (nozzle ring,
turbine diffuser / cover ring and turbine blades) using a borescope for
any contamination or damage
Optionally, this inspection can be carried out after removing the gas in-
let casing
Refit the compressor casing internal part
Refit the filter silencer
Service work every 36,000 hours
The replacement of bearing parts and the inspection and assessment of
the rotor must be carried out by an ABB Turbocharging Service Station.
Remove the filter silencer
Clean the filter silencer and inspect for damage
Remove the compressor casing internal part
Check axial clearance A
Clean the diffuser, wall insert and compressor casing and inspect for
damage
Remove the gas inlet casing and take out the nozzle ring
Clean the nozzle ring and inspect for damage or wear
Clean the turbine diffuser / cover ring and inspect for damage or wear
Inspect the rotor and assess its condition
Replace plain bearings with original parts from ABB Turbo Systems
Fit the turbocharger
