CAUTION
The air system must be protected against overpressure (> 6 bar).
 Before cleaning, the
prerequisite operating state for the non-integrated
dry cleaning device
must be met.
 Plug cock or slide valve (05) in closed position and safety valve with
ventilation (07) open.
 Close safety valve with ventilation (07).
 Tighten cover cap (01).
 Open pressure stop valve (08) and plug cock / slide valve (05), and
deposits and any condensation will be blown away.
 Close pressure stop valve (08) again after about 3 minutes.
 Close plug cock / slide valve (05).
 Open safety valve with ventilation (07) to blow out the exhaust gases.
 Carefully open cover cap (01) of granulate container.
 Pour specified amount of granulate into granulate container.
 Firmly close the cover cap (01).
 Close safety valve with ventilation (07).
 Open compressed air shut-off valve (08).
 Open the plug cock or slide valve (05) for 3 ... 4 minutes.
 Close plug cock or slide valve (05).
 Close compressed air shut-off valve (08).
 Open safety valve with ventilation (07).
 Check whether the exhaust gas temperature after the turbine has
decreased.
NOTICE
In order to optimise cleaning, it is important that the specified amount of
granulate get blown in for each cleaning operation.
The drain openings in the gas outlet casing must remain closed when
cleaning the turbine. As a result of careless handling, incompletely
burned soot particles can escape.
NOTICE
If the cleaning operation is not satisfactory, it may be repeated up to
two times.
If the cleaning result is still not satisfactory after three attempts and the
engine values are also unsatisfactory, we recommend that you have the
turbocharger inspected and cleaned by an official ABB Turbocharging
Service Station.
