Confirm the LOT/CODE Number
Check to see that the LOT/CODE number matches on all the following areas:
• Meter display
• Test strip calibrator
• Test strip instructions for use
• Test strip foil packet

Matches all:
CODE 12345
(Example)
The meter is calibrated for the
box of test strips you are using
You may now test your patient’s blood
ketone.
Does not match all The meter may not be calibrated
for the box of test strips you are
using
Check to see that you are using the
calibrator that came packaged in the
box of test strips you are using.
Recalibrate the meter.
Remove the calibrator from the meter and store it in the box of test strips.
IMPORTANT: Do not discard the calibrator until
you have used all the test strips in the box.
IMPORTANT: Contact Customer Service if the LOT/CODE number still does
not match. Do not test your patient’s blood ketone. The meter may produce
inaccurate results.
