What to do if the Abbott FreeStyle Blood Glucose Meter test does not start after applying blood?

If the test doesn't initiate after you've applied a blood drop to your Abbott Blood Glucose Meter, it could be due to several reasons. The blood drop might be too small; in this case, add more blood to the same area within 60 seconds. Alternatively, use a new test strip with a larger blood drop. Another possibility is a defective test strip, so try repeating the test with a new one. Also, the sample might have been applied after the meter turned off. Repeat the test with a new test strip, ensuring you wait for the appropriate signal to appear before applying blood.
