4.4.3. Cabling
Should you wish to use the intercom with the accessories provided, connect the power supply by
connecting the two wires from the mains power cable to the connector block. Connect the red wire to
DC+ and the black wire to DC- by pressing down the relevant pin and inserting the cable. Finally,
connect the power supply unit provided to the power supply cable.
If you wish to use cabling from an existing doorbell, or if you want to connect the intercom to
an additional actuator (e.g. a door opener) or to an LAN network, use the wiring diagrams below to
guide you.
Establishing a power supply using existing cabling
In order to supply power via existing cabling, you will need to have at least one pair of wires available.
These might come from an additional power supply unit or from the bell transformer (1). Use an
ammeter to check whether there is sufficient voltage available, and connect the wires to the connection
block V-/V+. When working with DC voltage, please observe the correct polarity.
