Replacing the Freedom Switch Battery
1. Leave the Freedom Switch On/Off switch turned ON.
2. Remove the battery cover screw and the cover.
3. Remove the battery. Information needed to purchase a replacement battery is printed on the
battery.
4. Insert the replacement battery (3V CR2032) with the plus sign (+) facing up toward you.
5. Press the large Freedom Switch button. If the blue LED illuminates, you know you have inserted the
battery correctly.
6. Replace the cover and screw.
Dispose of the old battery in accordance with your local, state, and/or country regulations.
Battery Life
With normal use and proper care, the battery should last about one year. This will vary by user and will
depend on how much the switch is used. The Freedom Switch uses low energy and draws power only
when it is activated.
Battery Tips
• Be sure the blue LED illuminates only when the Freedom Switch or a connected switch is
activated. The LED should not remain on continuously.
• During daily use, the Freedom Switch does not need to be turned off.
• If the Freedom Switch is going to be placed in a case or carry bag for transporting, turn it off to
prevent the switch from being activated accidentally.
• Turn off the Freedom Switch if it is going to be stored or not used for an extended period of time.
Additional Freedom Switch Tips
• When the top switch is turned off, press the Test button. The LED will illuminate, indicating your
Freedom Switch is operational.
• You can use your Freedom Switch as though it were a wired switch.
(1) Turn the Freedom Switch off.
(2) Connect a cable to one of the Freedom Switch jacks.
(3) Connect the other end of the cable to a switch jack on your device.
(4) Use the Freedom Switch as you would any other wired switch.
